The London Borough of Croydon is seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our Safeguarding Team. This vital role requires an individual who is committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children and their families. You will work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of children in our community, providing support and intervention where necessary.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans in partnership with families and other stakeholders. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local and national standards. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding strategies. Providing direct support and guidance to children and families, promoting their welfare and development.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children's safeguarding and welfare. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and families.
