Join our dedicated Safeguarding Team in Middlesbrough as a Children's Social Worker (SSW) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families. We are seeking passionate and skilled professionals who are committed to safeguarding vulnerable children and promoting their welfare. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, multi-agency teams, and community organizations to ensure the safety and well-being of children within our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments to identify the needs and risks faced by children and their families. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans to support families in crisis. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local authority policies. Collaborating with schools, health services, and other agencies to provide holistic support. Participating in team meetings and contributing to service development initiatives.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with children and families.
