Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? The Together for Families Team in Reading is seeking a dedicated Children’s Social Worker (SSW) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and community organizations to provide support, guidance, and intervention for children in need. Your expertise will help strengthen family relationships and ensure the well-being of children across our community.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing tailored support plans. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate services. Providing direct support and intervention to children and families. Maintaining accurate documentation and case records in compliance with statutory requirements. Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent). Registration with the relevant social work regulatory body. Experience in child protection and family support. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
