We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Assessment & Child Protection Team in Swindon. This role is integral to ensuring the safety and well-being of children and their families within our community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and implementing interventions that promote positive outcomes for children at risk.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting initial and comprehensive assessments of children and families in need of support. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Managing a caseload of complex cases, ensuring timely and thorough documentation and reporting. Working closely with multi-agency partners to safeguard children and promote their welfare. Participating in court proceedings and providing evidence as required.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working within children's services, particularly in assessment and child protection. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
