The London Borough of Waltham Forest is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children’s Social Worker to join our Assessment Team. This role is crucial in providing support and safeguarding to children and families in our community. As a qualified social worker, you will engage in comprehensive assessments, ensuring the well-being and safety of children while working collaboratively with families and other stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences. Providing support and guidance to families, promoting positive parenting practices.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Social Work Degree, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families in a social work setting. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
