We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's SW - Assessment Team in Oldham. This role is pivotal in ensuring the welfare and safety of children and young people within our community. As a member of our dynamic team, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop intervention plans, and work collaboratively with families and other professionals to promote positive outcomes for children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in accordance with statutory guidelines. Developing and implementing tailored care plans that address the specific needs of children and families. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to safeguarding and supporting children. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they are informed and involved in the decision-making process.To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly within assessment teams. Strong understanding of child safeguarding practices and legislation.
