Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? We are seeking a qualified Children’s Social Worker to join our Assessment Team in Somerset. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams to assess needs, develop support plans, and ensure the safety and well-being of children within the community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs. Developing and implementing effective intervention strategies and support plans. Working closely with other professionals, including health care providers, educators, and law enforcement, to coordinate services. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony as required. Engaging in regular supervision and professional development activities to enhance practice.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, BA/MA in Social Work) and current Social Work England registration. Experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and intervention. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
