Join our dynamic Children's Social Work Assessment Team in Somerset, where you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and working collaboratively with families and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children in need. Your expertise will contribute to making informed decisions that positively impact the lives of vulnerable children and their families.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Carrying out comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners. Conducting regular reviews of cases to monitor progress and adapt plans as necessary. Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they are engaged in the process. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with legislative and policy requirements.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly within assessment and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children and families. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
