We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Assessment Team in South Tyneside. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and providing support to children and families in need.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting thorough assessments to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams. Providing direct support and intervention to children and families to promote their well-being and safety. Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and other relevant meetings. Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
A recognized Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England. Prior experience working within a Children's Services setting, preferably within an Assessment Team. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make evidence-based decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families. Ability to work under pressure and manage a complex caseload efficiently.In addition to the essential qualifications and skills, candidates with experience in child protection, court work, and safeguarding will be highly desirable.
