Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Swindon Borough Council is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker to join our Assessment Team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding and supporting children, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of casework and assessments. Participating in multi-agency meetings to advocate for the best interests of children. Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes for children.To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in children's social work, particularly in assessments and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
