Join our dedicated Children's Social Work - Assessment/Kinship Team in Bolton, where your expertise can make a real difference in the lives of children and families. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Qualified Social Worker who is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and working collaboratively with families and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children in our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in need of support. Developing and implementing intervention plans tailored to the unique needs of each child. Working closely with kinship carers to provide guidance and support throughout the placement process. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local policies and procedures. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of safeguarding strategies.To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
