Join our dedicated team in Darlington as a Children's Social Worker in the Assessment and Safeguarding Team. We are seeking a passionate individual who is committed to improving the lives of children and families. In this role, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding vulnerable children, conducting assessments, and implementing effective intervention strategies. You will work collaboratively with families, external agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for children in need.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children's needs and risks. Developing and implementing child protection plans in accordance with legislative frameworks. Working closely with families to provide support and guidance, ensuring their voices are heard. Collaborating with various stakeholders, including schools, health services, and law enforcement. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all casework activities.To be successful in this role, you must possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA in Social Work, MA in Social Work). Current Social Work England registration. Experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
