Are you a passionate and qualified social worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families? The Birmingham Children’s SW - Care & Learning Team is seeking a dedicated individual to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to promote the welfare and development of children, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to individual children's needs. Working closely with families to provide guidance, support, and interventions that enhance their wellbeing. Collaborating with educational institutions and other stakeholders to monitor and support children’s progress. Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records in accordance with local policies and statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to case discussions to ensure a holistic approach to child welfare.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in a care and learning context. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
