We are seeking a qualified Children’s Social Worker to join our Children & Families Safeguarding Team in Oldham. In this role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding vulnerable children, ensuring their well-being, and supporting families in crisis. Your expertise will contribute to creating a safe and nurturing environment for children, allowing them to thrive.
As a Children’s Social Worker within our team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children and families in need. Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure holistic support for children and families. Carrying out home visits and engaging with families to provide support and guidance. Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and adherence to safeguarding policies. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with statutory requirements.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
