Central Bedfordshire is seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work – Children and Families Team. In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in improving the lives of children and families within our community. You will work collaboratively with families, professionals, and partner organizations to ensure the safety and well-being of children, while promoting positive outcomes for their development.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to individual family needs. Providing direct support and intervention to children and families in crisis situations. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure the best service delivery and outcomes. Maintaining accurate and timely case records in accordance with legislative and organizational guidelines. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony when required.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in children's social work, particularly within a statutory setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with children and families.
