Are you a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and families? Lewisham Council is seeking an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join our Children & Families Assessment Team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding children and supporting families in need, working in a vibrant and diverse community.
As a Children’s Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans that ensure the safety and well-being of children. Working collaboratively with other professionals, agencies, and stakeholders to provide holistic support. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, reports, and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Participating in supervision and team meetings to enhance practice and share knowledge.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Experience in child protection, assessment, and intervention. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
