The London Borough of Havering is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Children in Care (CIC) Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families within our community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in care while promoting their development and stability.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing care plans tailored to the individual needs of children and young people. Working collaboratively with families, external agencies, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care. Managing a caseload of children in care, providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure their needs are met. Participating in team meetings, case reviews, and multi-agency discussions to enhance service delivery. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with statutory requirements and best practices.

To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, applicants should possess:

A strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with children and families. Proven experience in working with children in care or similar settings. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

The London Borough of Havering is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Children in Care (CIC) Team. As a Qualified Social Worker in the CIC Team, your key responsibilities will include:
