The London Borough of Haringey is seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Social Worker to join our Children in Need (CIN) Team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families within our diverse community. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, ensuring they receive the support and care they need to thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and intervention, monitoring progress, and adjusting plans as necessary. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings and working collaboratively with partner agencies.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly within a CIN framework. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
