Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and families? We are seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Social Work - Child Protection Team in Oxfordshire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment where you can develop your skills and contribute to safeguarding vulnerable children.

As a Children's Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children's needs and risks in line with statutory requirements. Developing and implementing care plans that promote the welfare and safety of children. Working collaboratively with families, external agencies, and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and documentation as per organizational policies. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony when required.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience in child protection or safeguarding children is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Oxfordshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Children in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families within our community. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and young people.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify their needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Managing a caseload of children in need and those subject to child protection plans, ensuring timely interventions. To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in a children’s social work setting, particularly in CIN and CP. Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and external agencies.
