Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families? Lewisham is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker (CSW) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
As a Children's Social Worker in the CSW team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Managing a caseload of children in need, ensuring timely interventions and support. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with local authority policies. Participating in multi-agency meetings and working collaboratively with external partners.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, ideally within a statutory setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
