Sefton Council is seeking a skilled Children's Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Child Social Work (CSW) Team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and well-being of children, providing support and guidance to families in need, and helping to create a nurturing environment for vulnerable young people.
As a Children's Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing direct support and interventions to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Working closely with schools, health services, and community organizations to facilitate comprehensive support. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding initiatives.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (degree or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Experience working in children's social work settings, with a solid understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
