Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work - Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in Herefordshire and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families. We are seeking a qualified social worker who is passionate about supporting children with disabilities and their families, ensuring they receive the care and resources they need to thrive. This role offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with a committed team, providing tailored support to enhance the quality of life for children and their families.

As a Children’s Social Worker in the CWD Team, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children’s needs and developing appropriate care plans. Building strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to support. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, helping them navigate challenges and access necessary resources. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports in line with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings to advocate for the best interests of children.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Active registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children with disabilities and their families. Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across various agencies.
