The London Borough of Croydon is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and their families within our diverse community. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality social work services, ensuring that children with disabilities receive the support they need to thrive.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children and young people with disabilities. Working collaboratively with families, schools, and external agencies to coordinate support services. Monitoring and reviewing cases to ensure ongoing effectiveness of interventions and support. Providing advice and guidance to families, ensuring they are informed and empowered in their decision-making. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with local authority policies and procedures.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly those with disabilities. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to develop effective intervention strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trusting relationships with children and families.Additional requirements for this position include a commitment to continuous professional development, a valid driving license, and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
