The London Borough of Sutton is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with families, children, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for children with disabilities. As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in our community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and professionals. Providing direct support and intervention to children with disabilities and their families. Working closely with external agencies and stakeholders to coordinate services and resources. Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly those with disabilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in child protection and disability services.
