Are you a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with disabilities? Join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in Middlesbrough, where you will play a vital role in supporting children and their families through assessment, intervention, and advocacy. We are seeking a committed individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to the well-being of vulnerable children in our community.

As a Children's Social Worker in the CWD Team, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities and their families to identify needs and develop tailored support plans. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including health professionals, educators, and community organizations, to ensure holistic support. Providing direct support and guidance to families, empowering them to access resources and services. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local authority policies and procedures. Participating in case conferences and meetings, advocating for the best interests of children and promoting their rights.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience working with children and families, particularly those with disabilities. Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating resilience and adaptability in challenging situations.
