Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Wigan's Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with children with disabilities and their families, providing support and guidance to ensure their needs are met and their rights are upheld.
As a Social Worker within the CWD Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify their needs and strengths. Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families, professionals, and other stakeholders. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local authority policies. Participating in multi-agency meetings and working collaboratively with other professionals to safeguard children and promote their welfare.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly those with disabilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
