Join our dedicated team at Northamptonshire as a Children’s Social Worker within the DAAT (Drug and Alcohol Team). We are seeking a passionate and skilled social worker who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families facing challenges related to substance use. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to promote the well-being and safety of children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Assessing the needs of children and families to develop tailored support plans. Conducting home visits and engaging with families to provide guidance and support. Working closely with multi-agency teams to ensure a coordinated approach to care. Implementing interventions that promote recovery and positive outcomes for children. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with local authority standards.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly in substance misuse contexts. Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to develop effective care plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to service delivery.
