We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Social Work - Duty and Assessment Team in Swindon. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, ensuring their needs are met effectively. You will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to assess situations and implement appropriate interventions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and their families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans that promote the well-being and safety of children. Providing support and guidance to families, helping them access necessary resources and services. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and intervention. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
