Are you a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Telford's Children's Social Work - Duty and Assessment Team is seeking an experienced professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, ensuring that their needs are met and their voices are heard.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting initial assessments and statutory visits to children and families in need. Developing and implementing care plans that promote the best outcomes for children. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure effective service delivery. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. Providing support and guidance to families, helping them to access necessary resources and services.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
