Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Rochdale's Duty & Assessment Team is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding children, conducting assessments, and providing support to families in need. Your expertise will help ensure that children receive the care and protection they deserve.
As a Children's Social Worker in the Duty & Assessment Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting timely and thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans to support families and safeguard children. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to child welfare. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Providing support and guidance to families, helping them access necessary resources and services.To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience in children’s social work, particularly in duty and assessment. Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
