Join our dedicated team as a Children's Social Worker in the Duty & Assessment Team in Staffordshire, where you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding and supporting vulnerable children and families. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and ensuring the well-being of children in need. Your expertise will contribute to making a positive difference in the lives of those you serve.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting initial and comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Managing a caseload of children and families, ensuring timely and appropriate support is provided. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with legal and organizational standards. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:
A recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly within assessment and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children and families.
