We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Duty & Assessment Team in Tameside. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and investigations to ensure the safety and well-being of children in need of support.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Responding to referrals and conducting initial assessments to determine the level of support required Undertaking home visits and interviews with children, families, and other relevant parties Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as necessary Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes for childrenThe ideal candidate will possess:
A recognized Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England Demonstrated experience working within a Children's Services setting, preferably in a Duty & Assessment Team Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make evidence-based decisions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children and families from diverse backgroundsAdditional requirements for this role include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
