Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families? Barnsley Council is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker to join our Early Help Team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families to provide support and guidance, ensuring children thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing intervention plans tailored to the needs of children and their families. Working closely with families to implement early help strategies that promote positive outcomes. Building strong relationships with children, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to support. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with local and national policies. Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of services.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in children's social work, particularly in early help or preventative services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse families.
