Join our dedicated Families First Team in Somerset as a Children's Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in supporting children and families in need. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and delivering intervention strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of children. You will collaborate with families, schools, and other professionals to create a supportive network, empowering families to overcome challenges and thrive.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring their voices are heard and respected. Monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments to care plans as required. Maintaining accurate and comprehensive case records in line with legal and organizational standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent) and must be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with children and families from diverse backgrounds. Experience in child protection and safeguarding is essential, along with a solid understanding of relevant legislation and frameworks.
