Join our dedicated Family First Team in Durham as a Children’s Social Worker, where your expertise will make a significant impact on the lives of children and families. In this fulfilling role, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and their families, developing and implementing care plans, and ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including educators, healthcare professionals, and community organizations, to provide holistic support and intervention.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of children and families. Developing and implementing individualized care plans in partnership with families. Monitoring and reviewing cases to ensure effective support is provided. Engaging with families to build trusting relationships and empower them. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in team meetings and contributing to team development.To be considered for this role, you must possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with the relevant social work regulatory body. Experience in children’s social work, particularly in safeguarding and family support. Strong assessment and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
