Join our dedicated Children's Social Work - Family Guarding Team in Lancashire, where your passion for safeguarding children will make a real difference. We are seeking a qualified and motivated social worker who is committed to promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and families within our community. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for children at risk.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children's needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing direct support and intervention to families, ensuring their engagement in the safeguarding process. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in line with statutory requirements. Participating in court proceedings as necessary, presenting evidence and advocating for the best interests of children.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current Social Work England registration. Experience in children’s social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity to build trusting relationships with families.
