Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Bury as a Children’s Social Worker, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with families, professionals, and stakeholders to provide high-quality support and intervention. You will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and families, developing and implementing effective care plans, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in need of support. Developing and reviewing care plans in partnership with families and other professionals. Providing direct support and interventions to children and families, ensuring their needs are met. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding investigations as needed.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working in children’s social work, particularly in safeguarding and family support. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
