Bury's Family Safeguarding Team is seeking a qualified Children’s Social Worker to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with families in need, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting positive outcomes for children.
As a Children’s Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and intervention to families to improve their circumstances. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England (SWE). Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families.
