Join the Lancashire County Council as a Qualified Social Worker in our Family Safeguarding Team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate professional who is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and colleagues to assess needs, develop intervention plans, and ensure the safety and well-being of children in our care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and strengths. Developing and implementing child protection plans and safeguarding strategies. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to provide holistic support to families. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families.
