Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Somerset as a Children’s Social Worker and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. We are seeking a passionate professional who is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and colleagues to deliver high-quality support and intervention.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective child protection plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services. Participating in regular team meetings and supervision to discuss cases and share best practices.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
