Join the dedicated Family Support and Safeguarding Team at the London Borough of Newham as a Children’s Social Worker. We are seeking passionate and qualified social workers who are committed to improving the lives of children and families in our diverse community. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, partners, and other professionals to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children, providing essential support and guidance to those in need.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing tailored support plans for children and families. Working closely with multi-agency teams to safeguard children and promote their welfare. Managing a caseload of children and families, ensuring timely interventions and follow-ups. Participating in court proceedings and providing evidence as required. Engaging with families to empower them and enhance their parenting skills.The ideal candidate will have the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families.
