Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work - Fostering Team in Gloucestershire and make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable children and families. We are seeking a passionate and qualified Social Worker to support our fostering services, ensuring that every child has a safe, nurturing environment to thrive. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in assessing, supporting, and supervising foster placements, working collaboratively with foster families to provide the best outcomes for children in care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of prospective foster carers and ensuring they meet the required standards. Providing ongoing support, training, and supervision to foster families to enhance their skills and confidence. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Monitoring and reviewing placements to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of best practices within the team.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience in children’s social work, particularly in fostering or adoption. Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
