Join our dedicated Children's Social Work - Fostering Team in Gloucestershire, where your expertise can make a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families. We are seeking a passionate and qualified social worker to support our fostering services, ensuring that children in care receive the highest quality of support and guidance. In this role, you will work collaboratively with foster families, children, and other professionals to promote the welfare and development of children in our care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assessing and approving foster families, ensuring they meet the needs of children. Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster carers, including training and guidance. Conducting regular visits to children in foster care to monitor their well-being and progress. Developing individual care plans in collaboration with children, foster families, and relevant stakeholders. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working within a fostering or children’s social work environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children and families.
