Stockport's Children's SW - Fostering Team is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of supporting vulnerable children in foster care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development within a nurturing environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments for prospective foster carers and ensuring they meet required standards. Developing and implementing care plans tailored to the individual needs of children in foster placements. Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster families, including regular visits and training opportunities. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure a holistic approach to the care and support of children. Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification. Registration with Social Work England. Experience working within a children’s social work setting, particularly in fostering. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
