Join our dedicated Fostering Team in Surrey as a Children’s Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in improving the lives of children and young people in foster care. We are looking for compassionate and skilled professionals who are committed to making a difference. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and families, supporting foster carers, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children in care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to inform care planning. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and foster carers. Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster carers, ensuring they have the resources and training needed to provide safe and nurturing environments. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements. Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to promote the best outcomes for children.To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly in a fostering or child protection context. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
