Join our dedicated team in Wokingham as a Children's Social Worker within the Fostering Team, where you will play a pivotal role in improving the lives of vulnerable children and their families. Your key responsibilities will include:

Assessing the needs of children and their families to identify appropriate fostering placements. Conducting home visits and interviews to evaluate potential foster carers. Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster families, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and foster carers. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with local authority policies and procedures. Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of fostering services.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working within a fostering or child protection setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and families. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
