Join our dedicated Front Door Team in Durham as a Children's Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families in our community. In this position, you will be responsible for responding to referrals, conducting assessments, and providing support to children and their families in need of assistance. Your expertise will help ensure that vulnerable children receive the care and protection they deserve.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assessing the needs of children and families through comprehensive evaluations. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in multi-agency meetings to coordinate support services. Providing ongoing support and intervention to families to promote positive outcomes.To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England or equivalent regulatory body. Demonstrated experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and intervention. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
