The City of Doncaster is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s SW - Help and Protection Team. This pivotal role involves working closely with children and families to ensure their safety and well-being, providing support and interventions in line with our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Key responsibilities in this role include:
Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual family situations. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure comprehensive support for children. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with statutory requirements. Providing advice and support to families, empowering them to make positive changes. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony as required.To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Essential skills include:
Strong analytical and assessment abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
