Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a significant impact in the lives of children and families? Gateshead Council is seeking a qualified Children’s Social Worker to join our Integrated Referral Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team focused on safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in our community.

As a Children’s Social Worker in the Integrated Referral Team, you will be responsible for:

Conducting assessments to identify the needs and risks for children and families. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing support and guidance to children and their families, ensuring their voices are heard. Working closely with multi-agency partners to coordinate services and interventions. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with local authority policies.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families in a social work setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
