Are you a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Join our Kinship Care Team in Stockport, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting children who are unable to live with their parents. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with families, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for children in kinship care arrangements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of children and their kinship care arrangements to determine their needs and best interests. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and relevant professionals. Providing ongoing support and guidance to kinship carers, ensuring they have the resources and knowledge to provide a safe and nurturing environment. Monitoring and reviewing care arrangements to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards. Advocating for the rights of children and promoting their well-being within the kinship care framework.To be considered for this role, you must possess a relevant social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Experience in child protection, family support, or kinship care is essential, along with a solid understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are vital, as is the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
