Join our dedicated Kinship Team in Central Bedfordshire as a Children’s Social Worker and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for assessing and supporting kinship placements, working closely with families to ensure the safety and well-being of children in their care. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including schools, health services, and local authorities, to create comprehensive support plans tailored to individual family needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of kinship care arrangements. Developing and implementing support plans that prioritize the best interests of the child. Providing ongoing support and guidance to kinship carers. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings to advocate for the needs of children and families.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children’s social work, particularly in kinship care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
