We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Kinship/Assessment Team in Devon. As part of this vital team, you will be responsible for assessing and supporting kinship carers, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in care.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting thorough assessments of potential kinship carers to determine their suitability Providing support and guidance to kinship carers throughout the assessment process Collaborating with other professionals and agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children in care Developing and implementing care plans that meet the individual needs of each child Participating in case conferences and reviews to monitor progress and make recommendations for ongoing supportThe ideal candidate for this role will possess:
A recognized qualification in Social Work and registration with Social Work England Demonstrated experience working with children and families in a social work setting Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make evidence-based decisions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to child protection and safeguardingIn addition to the essential qualifications and skills, candidates should be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and families.
