Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and young people? Bolton's Children’s Social Work - Looked After Children (LAC) Team is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide essential support and guidance to children in care, ensuring their well-being and helping them achieve positive outcomes.
As a Qualified Social Worker in the LAC Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored care plans for looked after children. Building strong relationships with children, families, and other professionals to promote collaboration and effective support. Monitoring and reviewing cases to ensure that children’s needs are met and their voices are heard. Providing advocacy and support to children and young people in care, empowering them to participate in decisions affecting their lives. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with local and national policies.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, specifically within a looked after children context. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
